We had a wonderful ultrasound Monday morning! It really started the week off great! Cannon is now deep in my pelvis trying to find some more room. It seems that little brother Braxton is trying to hog it all! Dr. Kirshon had to turn the table upside down with my feet in the air so he could get his measurements. I seriously thought I was going to slide off! Ha! Cannon now weighs 2.4 lbs, growing 4 oz in a week! Braxton now weighs 2.7 lbs, growing 5 oz in a week! Both are still measuring ahead... Thank goodness!! Dr. Kirshon even said that Cannon had more fluid than he did last week. A small amount more but at least it was more!! Said they are breathing and moving around as they should be. They are very active! Still said that he wasn't concerned with the contractions until they became painful. He was very pleased and thinks we will bring in the new year here. Which would put us at 31 weeks on New Year's Day! We are just blessed to get any day we get! 31 would be a bonus!!
As for Shawn and his football season, it sadly came to an end last Friday. It was just not their night but what an amazing year they had. I couldn't be more proud of him! I can't wait to be in the stands with our boys next year cheering daddy on! We will be the loudest in the stands... We have a lot of cheering to make up for ;)
Thanksgiving day was perfect! My mom had been with me all week and my dad joined us Wednesday. We woke up Thursday morning and watched the parade. Shawn came after practice and my dad went out to find us a Thanksgiving lunch. He ended up at Central Market and it was great! Had turkey, ham, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, and bread! Everything I would have had at home! My dad is the best! Thank you so much! That night Shawn's parents brought dinner and we had a great time catching up and enjoying each other's company. It truly reminded me of how much we have to be thankful for! I have been blessed with the best family and in-laws a girl could ask for! Each day we get is precious and we need to cherish it because we aren't guaranteed the next one!
It is getting harder and harder to lay in this bed. At the house I could spend time on the couch and it broke up my day but I know that this is where The Lord wants me and our boys will be better off because of it! Please pray that I can keep up the mental strength to continue on each day here! Thank you for your continued prayers! They are definitely working and have brought our boys so far! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!
Love,
Shawn, Hali, Cannon and Braxton
