26 weeks and beyond THANKFUL!!

Woohoo!! Today we hit 26 weeks! At 17 wks and 5 days when this all started, 26 weeks seemed like forever away! Anyway, here we are! We would love 2 more months but we will be grateful for any day we get! Our next goal is 28 weeks! We can do it!!

We had our weekly ultrasound on Monday and we finally have 2 pounders!! Cannon weighs 2 lbs and Braxton weighs 2.2 lbs. Still measuring ahead and Dr. Kirshon was happy with that. Said that 3-4 pounders would be great! They are gaining about 3 oz. a week right now and said once we hit the third trimester they will grow about .5 oz a week! He said that Cannon's fluid is still low but he still has plenty! Hallelujah!! He said at this point he is not concerned about Cannon's lungs because he has kept up a good amount of fluid since I ruptured. We were happy to hear that!! He said I will probably continue to leak but that just means Cannon's kidneys are working as they should be!! After the ultrasound he said he was very pleased!! That's all we can ask for!

Our only concern now is, I have started to contract on some days. Before I would have them while they monitored but didn't know I was having them. Last Thursday night was the first time I could actually feel them and they got pretty close together about 3 minutes apart but were not consistent. They gave me a shot of Terbutaline and that seemed to do the trick until last night. I had some more contractions not as close together but a little bit more painful than the others. They gave me another shot of Terbutaline and that knocked them out. The concern of me contracting is it could cause me to start dialating which is not good because I have a stitch holding my cervix together. When my Dr. came in this morning, he did not seemed too worried because he said that people tend to contract more at night. He still believes we have at least another month of being pregnant! Which would put us at 30 weeks on Christmas Day!! 30 weeks would be huge!! Of course, we take any day we can get!! Just thankful the boys are healthy and growing strong!!

We had an exciting week! Friday night Shawn won round 2 of the playoffs against Summer Creek! So he plays this Friday at 2 against Pearland Dawnson. My mom and I listened to it on my iPad and it was such an exciting game! Afterwards when we knew we would win I asked my brother Zac, who was at the game, to FaceTime me so I could be apart of the celebration. He of course was happy to and I was so thankful I got to see Shawn right after he won! It was a moment I will never forget! I am so proud of him for all of his hard work and dedication to his team during such a scary time for us as a family! I truly feel that the Mustangs and Shawn are playing for Cannon and Braxton now!

Other than that, my days are pretty low key as you would expect. However, they do surprisingly go by fast! My awesome mother in-law stayed with me last week and my wonderful mom came to be with me this week and brought a beautiful Christmas tree with BLUE ornaments! I have had lots of visitors and many surprise visitors, cards, packages, flowers, and goodies! Thank you all for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers! It is so humbling to know that we are prayed for and thought of by so many! You all mean so much to us! We serve an amazing God who makes Earthly miracles happen every day and I believe that our boys will be a testament to those miracles! It has been hard to completely let go of this situation because there is so much I feel like I should do but I am doing all The Lord wants me to and that is lean on him and let him be in control!

We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving and we are blessed to be able to spend it with our loving family! Thank you lord for blessing us with two sweet boys that will add to our family and that we can love on for the rest of our lives and raise to be followers of you Lord!

Came across this verse this week and thought I would share with you..“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33

Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your family!
