21 weeks and more great news!!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week. Just wanted to give everyone an update on our sweet boys. We had our appointment today with Dr. Kirshon and it is the best news we have had so far. We couldn't be more excited!

He checked out the boys and both still have perfect heart beats. Cannon is weighing in at 1lb and Braxton is 15oz. He then listened and looked at blood flow in both cords and brains and he liked what he saw. Next, he looked at the cerclage and it's holding nicely. Still have some funneling where the cervix started to open but the cerclage is doing it's job holding everything in place and keeping my cervix closed! Then moved on to look at their fluid which has been the main thing he has been worried about. As I type this I'm wiping away the tears because God is just so amazing and all of you guys, our prayer warriors, have been so faithful and strong for us! He said that Cannon's (A) sack is almost equal to Braxton's (B) and now has a normal amount of fluid!!! We were jumping for joy, well...Shawn and his mom were. I stayed on the table of course :) Dr. Kirshon was very pleased and all smiles. He is still "cautiously optimistic" but he feels better about it. He still doesn't want to guarantee us anything because we do have a long way to go to be out of the clear but he thinks the sack has sealed off!! That is the best news that we could have at this point! He said continue to do what I am doing, lots of rest!

This week Shawn's mom is with us and it's been great having her here catching up. I know she was definitely excited to get to see the boys on the ultrasound today. Shawn won his game last Friday against Huntsville 21-6! One more win this Friday and we are in the playoffs. Woohoo...so proud of him and all the Mustangs!

We are so thrilled for our good news! We definitely needed it. We have our good and bad days but Shawn and I are always there to pick each other up and reassure each other that everything will be ok! It's in The Lord's hands and we are doing all we can do! Like I said, we believe in the power of prayer. So please spread the word and pray that Cannon's fluid stays the same and that the stitch continues to hold so I can keep those sweet boys cooking as long as possible! Thank you again for being our faithful prayer warriors. We couldn't do this without you!

Love,
Shawn, Hali, Cannon and Braxton
